Stefan Buenen had been dissatisfied with what he saw in the mirror for some time. When the scale crept towards 110 kilos, he decided that the size was full. Google brought him to Happy Bodies Eindhoven. The combination of personal and professional guidance, the VYTAL nutrition app and the Milon circle appealed to him. Almost 110 kilos on the scale<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It's been a little over six months since my switch turned. The scale slowly but surely crept towards 110 kilos and I was done with my reflection. Something really had to be done now. Where do you start your search? Google of course. And that's how I came across Happy Bodies. The funny thing is that they are only a few minutes' walk from my house. I had seen the building before, but nothing ever went off in my mind. This time.

This is where I need to be<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I decided to put on the brave (sports) shoes and made an appointment with one of the lifestyle coaches. She put together a nice, balanced program for me: a combination of the VYTAL nutrition app<\/a> and sports in the Milon circle. The professional and personal advice made me immediately feel at home. I knew: this is where I have to be!

Lost thirty kilos<\/strong><\/h3>\n

All I can say is that it went very well. The program is tailor-made for me: the perfect combination of exercise under expert guidance and a tailor-made nutrition plan. I have now gone from 108.8 kilos to 78 kilos \u2013 well, 78.5 to be precise. That means I lost thirty (30!) kilos in seven months. The guidance from Happy Bodies was very valuable, as were the weighing moments on Friday. That is an extra motivation. Of course I had the largest share myself. "Everything works, but as a person you have to cooperate," says R\u00e9mon Koetje, lifestyle coach and trainer at Happy Bodies, not without reason in a previous blog<\/a> and so it is. I have taken all the advice to heart and worked really hard. If you really want to say goodbye to your old self, you have to turn a switch. You can't do it halfway, then you won't get there.

The best thing about losing all those pounds is that I feel so much fitter. About five years ago I had a hemorrhage in my pituitary gland, which caused my stress hormone, cortisol, to be out of balance. Because of this I have to take medication every day. If I don't do that, things can go terribly wrong. In addition, my thyroid gland also works too slowly due to this condition, which makes it very easy to gain weight. That makes me extra proud that I managed to lose those thirty kilos. My goal is to lose about three more kilos, then I'll call it a day. After that, it is mainly a matter of good maintenance, because I really don't want to lose this fit feeling!

Sports clearly arranged and manageable <\/strong><\/h3>\n

I have exercised before. That was at one of the big chains, but I must honestly admit that I didn't feel comfortable there at all. All those shiny bodies<\/a>. And it seemed as if the athletes there paid more attention to taking selfies than to the exercise itself. At Happy Bodies the barrier to entry is much lower. And the Milon circle? That one is really great. Fitness has never been my thing and it never will be, but the Milon circle makes it clear and manageable. In 2x17.5 minutes you have done both strength and cardio training. No hours in the gym, but after 35 minutes you are done and you can go home again.

Professional toppers <\/strong><\/h3>\n

I usually train on Tuesdays and Fridays, and then Nicole is my regular personal lifestyle coach: a young, enthusiastic lady who is very committed to guiding people like me. If I train on a different day, sometimes there are other coaches. But to be honest, it doesn't really matter. All supervisors know exactly what they are doing. They are all professional top performers.
