In 2015, Alex and Romano started the first Happy Bodies Lifestyle Club, a fresh look at what a gym can be. Instead of large, intimidating gyms with blasting music and gigantic mirrors, they opted for small-scale, hospitable clubs that focus on effective exercise for everyone, even for those who do not take it for granted. What started with one location in Amstelveen has grown into a beautiful franchise concept with 26 locations throughout the Netherlands, from Alkmaar to Eindhoven. Romano, the general manager, talks about the success of Happy Bodies in this blog.<\/em><\/p>\n

A revolution in the fitness industry<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As fitness coaches, we often heard that for many people the barrier to the average gym was enormous. That made us decide to completely reverse the concept. We started an intimate, homely fitness club with a focus on personal attention and customer satisfaction. We exchanged the overwhelming music for subtle background tunes and exchanged large mirrors for a warm, inviting atmosphere with a cozy coffee corner.<\/p>\n

Train quickly and effectively with the Milon circle<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the biggest challenges we wanted to solve was the time investment that traditional fitness requires. We discovered the Milon circle, an advanced training circle where you can get a full workout with six sessions per month of 35 minutes. The moment you become a member with us, the revolutionary Milonizer makes a scan of your body. This will later ensure that the machines in the Milon circle are automatically set up based on individual biometric data. This means that training courses are not only safe, but also always perfectly tailored to personal needs.<\/p>\n

Growth and sense of community<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Since our first club in Amstelveen in 2015, Happy Bodies has grown rapidly. Into our clubs places<\/a> such as Heemstede, Overveen, Alkmaar, Amsterdam-Zuid and Haarlem are a huge hit. The positive feedback and enthusiasm from both members and trainers have proven that our model is working. Our trainers like that they get the opportunity to really connect with members. That time does not exist at the large mass gyms.<\/p>\n

Franchise and future plans<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 2017 we opted for a franchise formula. This enables us to support entrepreneurs who dream of their own gym with a unique, personal and customer-oriented concept. In 2022 we opened our 26th location in Aalsmeer. As far as we are concerned, we are far from done! Our aim is to bring a healthy lifestyle to every corner of the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
